the ability to maintain stability in-spite of change. a resting point. an equilibrium.
This year was the most challenging year of my life. In spite of the emotional and physical pain of losing myself to confusion, grief, heartache and darkness, by the grace of God I’ve survived.
The world finds itself afraid of being alone. We need the company and acceptance of others. We consume endless stimulation through social media and artificial relationships. We fear our own thoughts. We’ve been conditioned to hate who we really are.
What I know now is that isolation is medicine. Meditating on your thoughts and discovering who you truly are only comes from isolation, not cutting yourself off from the world but reflecting rather then chasing companionship with others, forcing connections and settling for mediocrity. When the world takes a back seat in your mind and you are at peace, you find yourself.
In between the highest of highs and the lowest of lows lies the healthiest, strongest, and most beautiful part of yourself. You embody a natural balance. You are in Homeostasis.
